Favorite Restaurants
We’ve enjoyed these restaurants as well as picking up groceries at the Ingles in Andrews and the Walmart in Murphy to make our own meals at the Cabin. Let us know what other great restaurants you find on your visit. There are many great ones to choose from.
- Monte Alban Mexican Restaurant in Andrews is a few mintues from the Cabin and has great food at great prices.
- The Daily Grind and Wine (Beans and Novel) in Andrews about 5 minutes from the Cabin has great coffee and a nice wine selection. There is a small bookstore connected to it as well but it doesn’t open until 10 a.m. You can get free wireless internet access here if you really can’t leave your work behind! There is also one of these in Murphy on Vally River Ave.
- Natahala Villiage Restaurant is a 30 minute drive through the beautiful Natahala River Gorge. We love going to this restaurant for breakfast. They have a great screen enclosed dining deck which overlooks the Great Smoky Mountains. 1-800-438-1507
- Everett Street Diner in Bryson City is a 40 minute drive past the Natahala Villiage Restaurant. A nice small town local restaurant which serves a great breakfast and lunch.
- Shoebooties Cafe in downtown Murphy is open Tuesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner. We’ve only been for lunch and really liked their sandwiches. Mmmm! Homemade muffins! This is a great place to have lunch while you walk around the shops in downtown Murphy.
- Downtown Pizza Company in Murphy. We got the pizza buffet here one night and it was great. You can also buy Pizzas to order. 52 Hiawassee Street, Murphy NC 28906 (828) 837-0500.
- Elsies Steak and Seafood restaurant is a family style restaurant in Andrews just minutes from the cabin. In addition to steak and seafood you can get chopped steak, country fried steak, hamburgers, fried catfish and vegetables. Children’s menu is available. Between $5 and $25 per person at this restaurant. We had a good experience eating here.
